To David Anstee family I am deeply sorrow about what happened to David Anstee, a great, honoured and respected scientist, who played a fundamental role in Transfusion Medicine. I own him a lot in my early professional career, where I had the privilege to work with him for several ISBT Working Parties since 1990. The last time I met him was in San Antonio two years ago, and he still kept his brightness and enthusiasm for the field. He has gone now, but will not be forgotten. My sympathy for the family
